THE DUNA GROUP AT JEC WORLD 2024: THANKS FOR COMING!

Innovative applications and great international turnout at JEC WORLD 2024, the World Trade Fair dedicated to the Composites sector. Once again this year, the DUNA Group answered the call as italian specialised manufacturer of PUR foams and systems. Discover all the solutions presented on our Booth in Paris


Once again this year, the DUNA Group attended JEC WORLD 2024, the World Exhibition of the Composites sector, held from 5 to 7 March 2024 at Nord Villepinte Expo Park in Paris. As ever JEC turned out to be an unmissable occasion to meet Composites’ professionals and present DUNA foams, systems and solutions. On our Booth, we welcomed international visitors with several real applications, chosen to prove the technical properties of our products.

CORALIGHT® 600, the new high-density PUR boards from upcycling of DUNA processing by-products, have been reinvented as a flamboyant super car hood through CNC machining. High mechanical resistance and easy workability in boards and special items make it the ideal solution for modeling, precision prototyping and structural reinforcement of panels and composites.

Another DUNA flagship at JEC was CORAFOAM® MD 600, the novelty of the CORAFOAM® mid-high density line (80-600 kg/m3), high performance PUR and PIR foams for modeling, prototyping and tooling. Highest density ever achieved by in-continuous free expansion, CORAFOAM® MD 600 ensures excellent machinability, mechanical strength and physical-chemical stability for precision machining. Given its eye-catching color, we decided to grab JEC visitors by transforming CORAFOAM® MD 600 into a perfect Venus of Milo bust, made from a block milled with our cutting-edge CNC machines.

The spotlight was also on BLACK CORINTHO®, the ultra-high density PUR boards (800 and 1100 kg/m3) for high temperature tooling and carbon prepregs lamination, characterized by ultra-low CTE, high thermal conductivity and high temperature resistance. To support the processing and finishing of BLACK CORINTHO® boards, DUNA also developed DUNAPOX AD adhesives and DUNAPOX BLACK SEA sealers, both epoxy solutions with high temperature resistance.

Finally we presented DUNAPOL® T, the renewed range of STYRENE-FREE high-density PUR systems for the structural reinforcement of laminates and composites, displayed as a full-size SPA bathtub section. Styrene-free, solvent-free and low in VOCs, DUNAPOL® T represents the sustainable and high-performance alternative to traditional stiffening methods, designed to ensure maximum performance and safety for operators.
