DUNA INVESTS IN PHOTOVOLTAICS

With the arrival of spring, the latest-generation 999 kWp photovoltaic system on the roofs of the Modena headquarters for self-generation of electricity from renewable sources is fully operational. 66% of the self- production will contribute to the company's needs, and the rest will be fed back into the grid, eliminating approximately 470,000 kg of CO2 emissions each operating year. After many months of work, DUNA has completed the installation, testing, and connection of a major 999 kWp photovoltaic system on the roofs of its Modena headquarters, a strategic choice that is part of the Group's broader objective of greater sustainability, competitiveness, and energy independence. The system is equipped with latest-generation SUN2000-115KTL-M2 inverters, designed to ensure efficiency, reliability, and maximum energy yield, and photovoltaic modules entirely designed and manufactured within the European Union. These features make the system reliable, high-performing, and in line with the highest industry standards.

Clean energy and savings

"The system is designed and sized to self-produce approximately 1.2 GWh per year, reducing overall emissions by approximately 470 tons of CO2/year," comments Guido Campolongo, CTO.

Measurable Sustainability

"Thanks to this investment, we contribute to reduce emissions equivalent to planting a small forest of 19,000-24,000 mature trees, or, in other words, to eliminate the emissions produced by approximately 240 cars on the road each single year of operation," comments Marta Brozzi, President and CEO of DUNA-Corradini S.p.A.
